Oxygen Analyzers are a central part of SBS’s portfolio ever since its foundation. The analyzers monitor the oxygen content first and foremost in two kinds of gasses: • inert gas for assuring safety on-board and • stack gas for optimizing combustion.

Since the SBS3500-series in 2005 received the certification under the Marine Equipment Directive (M.E.D) with the Wheelmark, sales and production have risen significantly. SBS is now supplying to major tank ship owners and managers (such as Teekay), to manufacturers in the marine industry (such as Hamworthy, Saake), and to land based industries.

The central design principle of the oxygen analyzers is easy maintenance. This concerns above all the Zirconia sensors, which are long-time stable and can be shelved without loss of function. The sensors are easily accessible and replaceable. There is no need to send the analyzer unit ashore for maintenance or to store two analyzer units on board. Furthermore, the SBS3500 Oxygen Analyzers are ideal for replacing other analyzers thar are no longer supported by the original manufacturer.
